About the Supply Chain Specialist Role In this role the successful candidate will work cross functionally across the business to ensure analysis and insight is completed on all work streams affecting macro space performance and trends. The candidate will proactively undertake deep dive analysis to identify space investment opportunities and provide recommendations on how multi-channel store space can be localised to maximise sales and improve customer availability. In addition, they'll participate in evaluating new space planning technologies to ensure the advancement of space data and insight within the organisation. Some of the accountabilities include: Providing an independent view on macro space changes to ensure they are optimised and localised for stores to maximise sales and improve customer availability Advising and directing the Commercial teams of current space performance trends to enable them to plan for their range reset space strategies Evaluating customer insight data on market trends and Commercial strategies to ensure space recommendations factor in future growth opportunities Providing a view of the projected category space changes to ensure the proposed matrix fulfils the ambitions of the commercial strategy Setting and managing optimal periodic business reporting to monitor business space performance from identified critical KPIs Analysing feedback and concerns from stores regarding their macro space and be proactive in investigating other stores which potentially have the same issue About You We're looking for someone who has: Clear understanding of retail customer needs and requirement Ability to see customer perceptions and motivations to inform and drive improvements Ability to work cross functionally and manage key stakeholder relationships Able to deliver increased sales and profit growth through sound business knowledge and retail experience Highly numerate with a strong analytical background Advanced knowledge of MS Office and SQL knowledge Good understanding of Business Intelligence reporting platforms, i.e. Qlik Sense, Tableau Previous analytical experience within a commercial retail environment and of data modelling and reporting would be beneficial We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive business and are committed to making Morrisons a brilliant place to work, harbouring an environment where our people can thrive.
