SEND Teaching Assistant PMLD Doncaster £350.00 to £375.00 per week Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: At least 3 months relevant classroom experience or transferrable experience working with individuals with SEND Contract Dates: To start ASAP An SEND school in Doncaster is urgently seeking a SEND Teaching Assistants who has experience of supporting young people with Autism, communication and interaction difficulties, to start work asap on a full time basis. The role This role involves supporting young people from the ages of 5 to 19 years old who have communication and interaction difficulties. This is a full time long term role that will be on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.45pm and will be starting asap. The School This fantastic school caters for students with a variety of SEND including but not ASD, communication and interaction difficulties, learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge. They have an extremely warm, caring and nurturing approach to the students that they support and this will need to be something that is also imbedded in your personal work approach and ethos. Catering for students form the ages of 5 to 19 years old, ideally you will be comfortable supporting a range of ages and abilities. Requirements To be considered for the position of Respite Support Worker / SEND Teaching Assistant you will: Have a passion and desire to work with young people with additional needs Have a non-judgmental, nurturing approach in the classroom Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities ASD, communication difficulties and learning difficulties Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links Moving and Handling Trained Preferred Be available from Monday to Friday each week Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference.
