Key Responsibilities Assume day-to-day delivery responsibility for projects and demonstrate the ability to take on tasks without supervision. Strengthen our service delivery capability and promote knowledge capture, sharing and innovation Strategy and sourcing Provide advice on appropriate procurement strategies, from category and framework strategy through to overall business procurement strategy. Conduct and lead teams and clients on market analysis, including routes to market and supplier engagement sessions. Advise and upskill client organisations in Sustainable Procurement methodology. Provide expertise on appropriate contracting strategies, including contract drafting. Tendering and Evaluation Be adept at supplier pre-qualification, highlighting key criteria for shortlisting in line with industry standards and client requirements including supplier capability assessments. Lead and deliver procurement tenders involving multiple stakeholders, including the drafting and management of procurement protocols. Conduct tender evaluation, including formulation of criteria, facilitation of scoring processes and creation of recommendation papers, leading to supplier selection and contractualisation. Provide detailed, constructive tender feedback to unsuccessful bidders. Procurement Management Lead organisational procurement change, including revision of processes, procedures and overarching category and framework strategies. Identify and manage key stakeholders within procurement processes and wider client organisations, including stakeholder mapping. Ensure compliance to client, industry, public procurement and ChandlerKBS standards for procurement delivery. Lead programmes of work (major project, category management) on behalf of the client with desired outcomes, including establishing frameworks. Communicate with team members to ensure that they understand and become engaged with the project strategies, briefs and client requirements. Improve project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertake reviews, ensuring client delivery is above expectation. Internal Co-ordinate workload demands of the business and individual partners for the provision of procurement expertise. Strengthen the ChandlerKBS market position and visibility through client delivery. Promote the value of the procurement team within ChandlerKBS to ensure early engagement with projects and clients. Manage the delivery of work through proactive involvement where appropriate and through performance management of personnel to ensure work is completed in a timely manner to a high quality standard. Mentor and coach team members, ensuring that staff and new starters are developed to support the successful growth of the Practice and development of their career. Lead bid and tender preparation and business development. Ensure service delivery is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Practice, particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance. Qualifications & Skills Ideally degree qualified: Procurement, construction, cost management, engineering or quantity surveying. MAPM/MRICS/MCIPs other equivalent qualification or experience. Circa 7+ years experience (at least 5 years post qualification). Extensive knowledge of procurement technical matters and legislation. Extensive experience of industry standard forms of contract, typically JCT and NEC
