Manufacturing Engineer paying up to £35K -, may pay more dependent on skills and experience, Monday to Friday, No shifts, early finish on a Friday, permanent position, career progression with the business - further promotions likely to become a senior engineer in the business Location of the position: Hull The Manufacturing Engineer position is working with a growing manufacturing business that has multiple sites in England. They have some exciting new projects coming as they continue to expand to develop the business The purpose of the Manufacturing Engineer is to support the manufacturing facility with Engineering projects to include product manufacturing techniques and process mapping to include area set up of projects - for both existing and new products, designing Jigging & tooling, implementing lean processes and support continuous improvement changes throughout the business. Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer position: Responsible for process design from initial concept through to project delivery of the product. Provide technical skills to develop existing and new methods/systems and develop methods of work within the manufacturing process. Work with the design/production/purchasing team providing onsite support/advice to allow the manufacture of the product to suit the engineered design. Interpret client requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and in the budget set. Developing process flows and standard operating Responsible for project success Key skills that are desirable for the Manufacturing Engineer role: A good knowledge of engineering manufacturing procedures with experience of implementing and using 5s and Kaizen methods. Experience in designing workflows and designing equipment to support. An understanding of engineering methods, processes and manufacturing procedures to include composite materials, Glass reinforced products, Aluminium and steel construction. Ability to work to strict deadlines and record project progress to set deadlines. Proficient with MS Office applications such as MS Word MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc. Experience in using 2D & 3-D CAD Design software. Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills, able to work independently or in a team environment.
