My client, a thriving commercial business on the outskirts of Colchester, is looking to recruit an experienced L&D Manager to help support the team. The main responsibilities of the role are: To provide support to the management in delivering the expected experience to all staff. This will include the scheduling of structured inductions, orientation and on-going training, working closely with the Heads of Department and to further support the professional team to provide them with further training and development. The role will also include supporting the team to ensure that reviews are completed as per an agreed timetable. Please note that this is a full-time role worked five days in seven and will require some shift and weekend work in accordance with operational needs. The main duties of the post will include but are not limited to: Making sure high levels of staff satisfaction are maintained. Assisting the professional team to achieve higher education goals and assist in balancing the peaks of pressure by providing continuous support to the professional team. To provide solutions that support the commerciality of the business. Ensure students follow the standards of behaviour and appearance expected as per the professional codes of conduct. Ensure that students are fully appraised and aware of policies and procedures to be followed whilst on rotation Establish and maintain effective communication with Heads of Department, Supervisors and student practitioners. Liaise with the Heads of Department and Supervisors and assist them in their development of rotation-based student learning and training. Assist with organisation and administration of student inductions, performance reviews and records. To keep up to date with industry trends, developments and best practices. Coordinate training events, liaising with departments as appropriate and delivering feedback on events as required. Review, evaluate, maintain and adjust training programmes and events as necessary including updating and improving resources. To work with the heads of to assist in the identification of individual learning needs. Maintain a consistent and visible presence in order to support staff development. To liaise with the heads of regarding the management of absence. To provide additional support to the professional team as required. To provide regular feedback/reports to management on the effectiveness, progress and areas of concern relating to work-based learning.
