Your new role The post holder will be responsible for providing a high quality, efficient and effective social work service to respond to the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families /carers within the Placement Services Team. The post holder will be responsible for completing assessments, planning, delivering and reviewing focused interventions in a timely manner in order to safeguard and protect vulnerable children and promote positive outcomes. The post holder will work within and implement the duties and responsibilities of relevant childcare legislation, associated regulations and guidance and national and departmental policies and procedures. The post holder will achieve improved Every Child Matters outcomes for children and young people. The emphasis of the post holder's work will be on supervising, supporting, training and assessing foster carers, including family and friends carers, across Wiltshire to ensure safe foster placements for Wiltshire's looked after children. What you'll need to succeed You will need: SWE registration ASYE Completed Some relevant professional experience post qualification in a similar work environment. Expert knowledge of relevant policy, systems, work practices, professional guidelines, legislation in the area of specialism.
