Finance Officer role to start ASAP. We have a role for a Finance Officer to join our Client on a temporary basis. The role is to work 4 days per week 9am-5pm It is essential to have an enhanecd DBS registered on the update service for this post. Job summary To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality finance / administrative support in all aspects of the work, taking primary responsibility for providing efficient and accurate financial service information, and to be responsible to the Director of Finance and Administration in providing effective confidential information. To maintain and monitor accurate systems of financial control and parents/clients data systems, using these to their full potential, providing information and reports to assist service planning and review. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES l . To ensure processes are established and maintained for communication both orally and in writing with Centre staff, service providers and parents. 2. To ensure and support the welcome and introduction of visitors to the work of the Children's Centre including parents interested in the services available. 3. To attend meetings as required and be responsible for the provision of appropriate information and advice on the financial and service performance. 4. To co-ordinate the annual budget process of with the relevant staff. 5. To produce monthly financial report to the Local Council. 6 . To maintain all financial systems and accounting procedures, ensuring they are continuously monitored and managed. To work with the Director of Finance and Administration to produce monthly budget monitoring reports and relevant commentary. 7. To issue invoices to parents, collect fees and record it. To chase outstanding fees. 8.To ensure value for money is observed in all procurement arrangements, and to be aware of the best value principles. To ensure all procurement is in line with the organisation's procedures and financial standing orders. 9.To be responsible for the completion of financial reconciliations and resolving any queries. 10. To ensure that financial regulations, audit requirements and the organisation's internal controls are followed at all times. 11. To enter suppliers invoices and parents fees onto Sage, and spreadsheet. Also to do the Bank Reconciliation
