We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract for a fantastic head office function for a progressive, growing and award winning company based in North London. You will be joining a company of about 100 that offer a family feel and a happy and supportive work environment, demonstrated by many of their long serving staff members. This is an officed based role in their offices in North London with 1 day a week working from home offered, due to the location of the office, a car driver is essential but free parking is offered. This is a key role joining a friendly and supportive team where you will be ensuring customer orders are processed in a timely manner, the accounts are up to date and complete. Enter invoices/credit notes into SAP making sure the invoice is correct, allocating the nominal code, and correct VAT treatment. Ensure control over Prepayments and Direct Debits Post journals and accruals as required Complete regular supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring supplier accounts are up to date, and any credits pending are agreed with supplier Undertake payment runs, create payment proposal, obtain senior management approval, and send payment/transfer instructions to the bank Allocate payments via the bank, to the relevant supplier account in SAP Regularly review aged creditors, clearing/processing any debit balances in a timely manner Agree with Senior Finance Manager actions for outstanding/aged balances Proactively liaise with Supply Chain team for invoices in query to obtain their swift resolution Manage queries with suppliers to ensure accounts are accurate and complete, maintaining good on-going relationships Maintain vendor files within SAP, to ensure they are up to date and accurate Maintain up to date documentation for Accounts Payable processes Assisting in Bank reconciliations to ensure business transactions and recorded accurately and in a timely manner Process UK orders received direct Manage the Amazon Advance Shipment Notifications in line with the customers requirements Manage effectively customer order queries with the Sales or Supply Chain teams What the employer is looking for: Studies in accounting, finance or any other relevant field Previous experience working in an Accounts Payable/Accounts Assistant role Excellent attention to detail and administration skills Experience using SAP or other ERP systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be IT literate: Microsoft suite Good team player Proactive, self-starter Influencing skills
