Responsibilities We are looking for someone like you to join our service in Derby which will provide personalised, flexible and targeted community based support for people with mental health needs. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will create partnership links to identify what peer networks already exist in the area and gauge where there may be interest to get involved. You will undertake a variety of tasks including: help to set up and develop peer support groups, recruit and manage volunteers to support the service which will include induction, mentoring and training, coordinate Recovery Education Workshops and develop partnerships. It s a challenging role but one in which your creativity and enthusiasm will have every chance to shine. The chances are, you already work in the mental health field, or similar. What is for certain is that you re self-motivated, work well under pressure and know how to connect with people at all levels. You ve also got the confidence needed to come up with new ideas to develop the service and the communication skills to promote it locally. Strong IT skills email, internet and MS Office - are also needed. The salary for this post is £19,879 with progression to £20,924 pro rata per annum.
