Our Client Our client is an internationally recognised professional services business who provide financial solutions. Being a modern and dynamic business, they have seen exciting growth in recent years being recognised as a leader in their industry. Due to expansion, we are now looking for an experienced Business Development professional to join the business who can help us continue to meet and exceed targets. The Role - Business Development Manager The role is to develop business within the Research and Development Tax space. The team is currently successful and growing and we are looking to capitalise on this growth by adding an entrepreneurial sales professional who will identify and win new business. As well as generating business through traditional means, the successful candidate will build a partner network that will bring in organic leads. The key responsibilities of this position are listed below :- Develop and execute strategic territory business plans Create and drive sales, increase brand awareness, and generate leads within your territory Generate new business opportunities through professional prospecting and cold-calling Conduct group sales presentations and product representations Take ownership of the sales cycle from lead generation to closure Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within company CRM (SFDC) Generate quality leads from tradeshows and regional networking events Develop and maintain knowledge of products and services Who You Are - Business Development Manager You will posses the drive and determination to help grow a business unit. Utilising strong communication skills, in person and over the phone. You will be a creative thinker who is open to new ideas on how to best develop business. You will have a proven track record of exceeding targets through cold and warm lead generation. The successful candidate will be able to conduct the whole sales cycle, from lead identification all the way through to winning the business. Some of the experience and professional traits required are :- A hunter mentality with strong business acumen and a highly-developed negotiation technique Proven experience of working in a new business environment with evidence of successful cold calling and prospecting A first class closer with a drive to be number one in performance Outstanding organisational, presentation, and communication skills (verbal and written) Proficient computer skills (MS Office) and experience demonstrating sales presentations Proven experience of developing business through networking target markets and customers Must be a highly motivated, self-starter with the drive and persistence necessary to maximise the potential of the territory Demonstrated ability to deal with change, think strategically, and make complex decisions An influencing style with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly Experience of operating within the Capital Allowances field or a technical sales role desired but not essential Extensive travel within the territory required Must be able to drive with a full and clean driving license What's in it for you?
